In Loving Memory

Peacefully with family by his side it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick, on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the age of 70.

Loving husband of Kathleen for 43 years. Devoted father of Scarlet (Shawn), and Shane (Samantha). Cherished grandfather of Alexis, and Jevon. Beloved brother of Alberta, and predeceased by Sean, Theresa, and Chris. Adored son of the late Mary, and the late Frederick O’Hara. Patrick’s memory will always be cherished by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank Saint-Vincent Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

Our dad was one of the most loving, kind, and funny people you could ever meet. He had a way of making people laugh and feel loved, and anyone who knew him knew just how special he was.

He loved his family, animals, music, karaoke, and getting up to dance at family gatherings. Those little moments may seem simple but are now memories we will treasure most.
To his grandchildren, he was so much more than Papa. He was someone they looked up to, someone who always believed in them and showed them nothing but love. His love, encouragement, and belief in each of them will stay in their hearts forever.

Dad, you took a piece of our hearts with you, but you left us with a lifetime of beautiful memories. We will carry your love with us every day, talk about you often, and keep your memory alive in everything we do. I promise you that.

You were an amazing dad and husband an incredible Papa. We were so lucky to have you, and we will carry you in our hearts forever.

At Patrick’s request, no formal service will be held. Memorial donations to Ottawa Cancer Foundation or Ottawa Humane Society are appreciated.
