Philip George Barton, aged 94, passed away on April 18, 2026, in Scarborough, Ontario. He was born in Fleet, England, on May 27, 1931.
Philip served in the British Army before emigrating to Canada with his beloved wife, Gerda, who predeceased him. A father and grandfather, he is survived by his five children: Doris Zender née Welsch (Dieter Zender), and their daughters Nicole Zender and Silvana Fragen (née Zender); Frankie Bérubé (née Welsch-Barton) (George Bérubé), and their daughter Danielle Bérubé (partner Maxime Macdougall); Danny Barton and his children Candice Copan (née Barton) and Christel Barton; Michael Barton and Anna Barton (née Ciach) and Richard Barton, along with his children who reside in England. Philip will also be missed by his beloved dog, Joey.
He will be fondly remembered.
