Raymond “Randy” Smith

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Randy Smith on December 8, 2025.
Randy is predeceased by his loving partners, Ed Beaune and Kerry Dowdell, and by his parents, Ida and Raymond Smith. He leaves behind cherished siblings Anita (Earl) Langlois, Dennis (the late Carol), and Keith (Glenda). Randy was a proud and devoted uncle to Scott & Anna Langlois, Derek, Leanne, Bryan, and Mary & Wayne, Dan & Kristie. He was also a special cousin to Trudy & Rick, Jan, Wayne & Diane.
He will be deeply missed by his dear friend Joseph Barrett, who was like a son to him, and by treasured friends Zach, Rob, John, and Ken.
Randy loved spending his summers at the campground, where he found peace, laughter, and community. He especially enjoyed his many memorable trips to Cuba with his friend Rob. A retiree of Bell Canada, Randy carried a strong work ethic, a kind heart, and a gentle presence that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Heartfelt thanks are extended to the Palliative Care Unit at Hotel Dieu Grace Campus for their compassion and care.
Donations in Randy’s memory may be made to Transition to Betterness, an organization close to his heart.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, when family and friends will gather to share memories and honour a life so deeply loved.
