Rhonda McAskill
Age 65, passed away peacefully at home on December 15, 2025, lovingly surrounded by family.
Rhonda will be profoundly missed by her devoted husband, Leslie McAskill. Rhonda and Les first met at the age of 18, igniting a love story that would eventually grow into a lifelong partnership rooted in friendship, adventure, and unwavering commitment. Together, they traveled extensively, covering countless miles on their Harley and creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Rhonda will be deeply missed by her loving daughter, Shae Barnes (Dan Ribey); her beloved granddaughter, Brynn Ribey, who was truly her pride and joy; and her stepson, Kyle McAskill (Jessica Mann).
She is lovingly remembered by her father, William Roby (Terry); her sisters, Kim Roby (Jim) and Shannon Roby; her brothers, Dennis Parbery and David Parbery; and her in-laws, Lyndsay McAskill and Paulette McAskill. Rhonda will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Kristy Wanner, Dylan Roby (Victoria), Chas McAskill (Karly), Alex McAskill, Michelle Roby, and Braeden Roby, as well as her great-niece, Sienna Roby.
Rhonda was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Lumley (2017), and her brother, Michael Roby (1996).
Rhonda dedicated more than 20 years of her professional life to real estate and was best known for her time with Pinheiro Realty. Through her work, she built lasting relationships and earned the respect and admiration of both colleagues and clients.
Known as the life of the party, Rhonda had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. Her beautifully planned holidays and family gatherings reflected her fun-loving spirit, attention to detail, and generous heart. Her warmth, laughter, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, January 11th, 2026 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Words of reflection shared at 3 pm. Guests are encouraged wear blue in honour of Rhonda's favourite colour.
Rhonda’s kindness, strength, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who loved her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
