Richard "Dickie" Mark Hodare
It’s with heavy hearts the family of Richard “Dickie” Mark Hodare announces his passing on December 18, 2025 at the age of 60.
Cherished father to Crystal (Robert), Alicia (Shawn), Richard James AKA R.J. (Taylor), Candice (James), and Joshua.
Proud grandpa to Aiden, Liam, Isabelle, Nash, Noah, McKyla, Madison, Oakley, Alexis, and Sofia.
Forever remmebered by his father Dick Hodare (Darlene) and his siblings Cheryl (Paul), Alana (Sam), and Diane (Warren). Richard is predeceased by his mother Barbara (2001), and his sister Patricia (2001) (survived by Bob).
Richard will also be dearly missed by his extended family and friends.
Richard was a proud member of the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO). He loved being on the water and found great joy in boating. Over the years, his dogs were constant companions and held a special place in his heart. Many will fondly remember him for his beer can chicken.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Windsor Regional Hospital – Kidney/Dialysis Unit. Per Richard’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
