Richard “Rick” Paul Detenbeck, 71, of London, Ontario, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025.

Born in Fort Erie and raised in Port Colborne, Rick built a life rooted in community, family, and dedication. He spent his career in IT facilities management, where his reliability and work ethic earned the respect of all who worked alongside him.

Rick had an adventurous and creative spirit. He loved woodworking, riding his motorcycle on open roads, camping beneath the stars, swimming whenever he could, and collecting antiques that sparked his curiosity and appreciation for history. A proud member of the Lions Club, he believed in giving back and supporting those around him.

Above all, Rick will be remembered for being loving, friendly, and always on time. Traits that made him someone everyone could count on! His warmth and kindness were constants in the lives of those he cared for.

Rick is survived by his devoted wife Heather; daughters Amy and Amanda; son-in-law Chris; grandchildren Braiden, Kyler, Finn, and Halen; and great-granddaughter Adalyn. He is predeceased by his father Bill and his mother Lois.
