It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rick Richards on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the age of 76.

Predeceased by his father Frank and mother Hazel. Rick was the cherished father of his children with former wife Susan. Their son Rick Jr. (Kelly) and daughter Shea (Luke) will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Rick is predeceased by his youngest son Shawn with former partner Johanne. Reunion of father and son is no small consolation for the loved ones they’ve left behind. Delighted grandfather of Fallon, Lily and Ella, bonus grandfather to Blake and Styles and, much adored great grandfather of Adrianne and Riley. Beloved brother of Bobby (Theresa), Lisa (Ray) and Mike (Melody) and predeceased by brothers Donnie (Bev) and Terry. Rick’s memory will always be cherished by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Rick was a tough-as-nails, former truck driver with a deeply generous heart. He never asked for help and was always quick to offer it. No matter how little he had for himself, he could never say no to someone in need. He loved his friends and family without condition. He was wickedly funny and lived to make others laugh to the very end. His humour and heart will live on in all who loved him.
