In Loving Memory of Robert John Ryan Maroon
August 8, 1953 – November 12, 2025
With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce the passing of Robert John Ryan Maroon, who left us on November 12, 2025, at the age of 72.
Born and raised with laughter, and a touch of mischief, Bob lived life on his own terms — with a strong heart, a generous soul, and a wicked sense of humour that could light up any room (or barstool).
Cherished father of Amy Maroon (Al Richardson) and Tommy Maroon of British Columbia. Proud step-grandfather to Shelton (Karly) and Morgan (Jeremy), and step great-grandfather to, Layla and Parker.
Dear brother of Barry and Doug, and loving stepbrother to Kenny, Ed, Nancy (Guy), Kim, and Laura (Ed). Predeceased by his parents, Winnie and Fred Maroon, who surely welcomed him with open arms.
Bob will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends collected from all corners of life — especially those who shared a drink, a laugh, or a story with him at his favourite haunt, The Seminole Bar.
He was predeceased by his loyal sidekick, Bella, his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, who is no doubt joyfully wagging her tail to see him again. An animal lover through and through, Bob had a soft spot for four-legged friends — and they for him.

In honour of Bob’s love for animals and his generous heart, donations may be made to Transition to Betterness (T2B) or the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society. A Celebration of life will take place at Windsor Sportsman Club - 2401 Dougall Ave, Windsor, ON N8X 1T3 on Saturday November 22nd from 1-4pm.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation Centre (Wyandotte).
Raise a glass, share a story, and remember Bob with a smile — because if there’s one thing he’d want, it’s for the people he loved to keep laughing, keep living, and keep being kind.
