On December 18th we lost our beloved dad, Robert Ellis at the age of 71. He was a devoted father to his girls Nicole Stewart (Josh), Amanda Brant, and Katrina Bondy (Alex). He loved his grandchildren Christopher Demarco, Julia Demarco, Robbie Brant, Riley Brant, Ryan Brant, Olivia Bondy, Alex Bondy, and Maxwell Bondy. He is survived by his siblings Gordon, Diane, Michael, and Michelle. Robert is predeceased by his father Gordon Ellis, mother Audrey Ellis, and his sister Susan Adams. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Robert retired from Ford Motor Company after many years of dedicated service. He loved spending time on his boat at the lake and along the Detroit River and never passed up a chance to visit a good amusement park. An avid music enthusiast, he especially enjoyed reading biographies about his favorite musicians. A lifelong animal lover, he shared his home with many beloved cats over the years. He also had a special bond with Chloe, Katrina’s lovable chocolate lab, and cherished visiting her, always ensuring she had company when she had the house to herself. Robert was known for arriving with a can of Cool Whip in hand, letting the grandkids eat straight from the container. Above all, Robert loved his family and was always present for every holiday and birthday, never missing an opportunity to spoil his grandchildren.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Robert to the Windsor-Essex Humane Society.
