Robert Louis Grimmell – Born March 7th, 1954 – Died January 4th, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Louis Grimmell on January 4th, 2026 at the age of 71.
Robert was the beloved husband of Annette (nee Thibert) of 51 years. Cherished father to Matthew (Tracey), Adam (Kelly) and Nick (Jerrow). Forever remembered by his grandchildren, Hannah, Riley and Calvin. Loving Brother to Linda (Ric) Gorham, Martha Brown (Vince) and Laurie (Garth) Labelle. Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Metta Grimmell. Robert will be missed by many nieces and nephews, extended-family and the multitude of friends he had. Rob will be dearly missed by Debbie Shepley, who he adored like a sister. Robert retired from Ford Motor Co. He was working as a security guard for Commissionaires of Windsor for the last 12 years. His passion was singing with Vocal Express (Sun Parlor Chorus) for over 40 years. He loved singing and all of the friendships he had. Robert thrived on helping others. He always was a helping hand whenever someone needed it, whether it be a family member, friend or stranger. The family would appreciate any donations in lieu of flowers to be sent to the Downtown Mission of Windsor or the Homelessness and Housing Help Hub. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday January 11th, 2026 at Average Joes - 1286 Lauzon Rd, Windsor, ON N8S 3N1 from 3pm-8pm. Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation (Wyandotte).
