Robert Terrance Joseph Murphy
Obituary Overview
Robert Terrance Joseph Murphy
It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Terrance Joseph Murphy, age 69, who passed away peacefully at home, in his bed, on January 4, 2026, in Windsor, Ontario, surrounded by love, care, and support.
Born on September 19, 1956, in Windsor, Robert was known for his antics, joking around, extravagant present wrapping, and always being there to help a friend or family member. He was truly a jack of all trades and helped wherever he could. Robert was a trucker, cadet, mechanic, fisherman, and an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan. Those who knew him will fondly remember his love for fixing things, fishing, beer, hockey, and his goofy sense of humour.
He is survived by his son Zachary Murphy (Jesika) and daughter Stacey (Jeff), and was the beloved son of Helen Murphy. He was predeceased by his brother Rick (Carol) and is survived by his brothers Ron (Shirley) and John (Darianne), and sisters Catherine and Connie. He will be deeply missed by his many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, his best friend Bob, his little buddy Spike, and the mother of his children, Maryanne.
Keeping with his wishes, Robert spent his final days at home, where he was kept comfortable, warm, loved, and at peace. The family is incredibly grateful to the nurses who cared for him during his time of need, and for the compassion, support, and kindness they showed him when he needed it most.
