In Loving Memory
In Loving Memory of Rod Parker who passed away peacefully, November 13, 2025 surrounded by his beloved “girls”- wife Karen Rodd and sisters Nancy Johnston and Jan Jenken. Rod faced his journey with remarkable courage, growing stronger in spirit and determination with each passing day.
A proud lifetime employee as a millwright with Kellogg’s Canada, Rod was well known for his craftmanship and creativity.
His passion for woodworking especially as a luthier, led him to create several quality intricate and beautiful guitar masterpieces. He appreciated good music and was a huge football fan which he enjoyed immensely and shared that interest with his family members. Rod also loved his time on poker nights where he formed special and lasting friendships and shared many laughs and gourmet meals with dear friends. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his loving family, dear friends and neighbours.
At Rod's request, there will be no formal service or visitation. Rather, he wished to be remembered in quiet moments and happy memories shared by those who knew him. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
May the instruments he crafted and the laughter he shared play on in our hearts.
