ROWENA BLANCHE PENNEY

It is with heavy hearts we announce her passing on June 16, 2026 at Victoria Hospital London, Ontario at the age of 95. Born in Purcell's Harbor, Twillingate Newfoundland, Rowena is predeceased by her parents, Fredrick and Ida Anstey. The beloved wife of the late Ronald Dennis Penney (1991).

Most loving Mom to the late David Anstey (2023), Debbie and her husband Lorne Adey, Cindy and her husband Todd Rumboldt. Proud Nan to Jesse, Joey, Brooke and Shane. She loved them all so very much, and was so proud of them all.

Rowena is predeceased by her siblings, the late George, Edmund, Ivy, Nellie, Ettie, Marjorie, Mamie and Mildred. Survived by her many nieces and nephews and their families.

She will be missed by her family who will love her always. And her special boy "Rocky".

Thanks to the LHSC nurses who seen to her comfort, and special thanks to Nicole, who took care to do the little things that she would have appreciated.

Thanks to Judy from OHAH for her concern and guidance in the care she provided for her at home, thank you.

Thank you to Dr. Gillian Maynard who helped with her continued care. It means so much to the family.

Following Rowena’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
