In Loving Memory

Shawn passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Monday. August.24th, 2026, at the age of 52. Devoted father of Ella (Brady) and Liam (Hunter); beloved brother of Tracey (Mike) and Tammy (Steve).
Adored son of the late Shannon (Fyke) and the late Bernard Ducharme.

Shawn’s memory will always be cherished by his nieces and nephew, Cody (Shae), Brittany, Brianna (Brandon), Riley, Chelsea, and Hayley.
He is lovingly remembered by his great nieces and nephews, Payton, Jaxon, Mason, Mariiah, Myanna, Messiah and Nevaeh. A treasured stepson to Joey Amo and stepbrother to Dawn Amo. A dear friend to Amanda Lusk and Luis Santiago.

The family would like to thank the nurses at the Kemptville General Hopsital and The Ottawa Hospital. The family would also like to thank his many friends who came to visit him. He cherished every moment he got to spend with his friends.

Shawn was born and raised in Ottawa. He went to Laurentian High School where he made many life-long friends who were more like family. He went on to work with a few different companies throughout his life, where he made many more friends. He was incredibly giving and treated everyone like family. He was always making people laugh with his dancing and his quick remarks. He was known for his strength which he carried with him to the very end. Shawn has touched the hearts of many and will be remembered fondly by all.

A private event will be held for Shawn’s family and friends.
