It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sherril Wynn “Sherry” Johnson (nee Brooks) on July 22, 2026, at the age of 74.

Born on December 4, 1951, Sherry lived a life centered on love, family, friendship, and adventure. She was the beloved wife of Clayton Johnson for 54 wonderful years, a partnership built on unwavering devotion, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Sherry was a proud and loving mother to Stacey Ventura (Mark) and Courtney McSephney (Jasey). She adored her role as Grandma and found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, Olivia (Julian), Liam, Ryan, and Luke, each of whom held a very special place in her heart.

She was predeceased by her parents, Connie and Don Brooks, and her sister, Wendy (Garnet). Sherry will also be deeply missed by her dear lifelong friend and best friend, Kathy Rousseau (Cecil), as well as many extended family members, friends, and colleagues whose lives were touched by her warmth and kindness.

For over 20 years, Sherry worked as a Ward Clerk at Windsor Regional Hospital's Metropolitan Campus, including many years in the Emergency Department. She took great pride in her work and formed lasting friendships with the many healthcare professionals she worked alongside throughout her career.

Sherry found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time fishing, traveling to tropical islands, and gathering with family and friends at the family's cottage on Georgian Bay, a place that held countless cherished memories. Whether relaxing by the water, casting a line, or simply enjoying the company of those she loved, those moments brought her great happiness.

Above all else, Sherry treasured her family. Her love, support, and caring nature were gifts she shared freely, and the memories she created with her loved ones will be cherished forever.

Sherry will be remembered for her compassionate heart, gentle spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.
