Shirley Ann Krete Clements
Obituary Overview
Shirley Ann Krete Clements
It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Krete Clements on Saturday October 4, 2025 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus. She was surrounded by the love of her family. Shirley was 91. She will be remembered for her unconditional love, her faith, and her giving nature.
Shirley was the daughter of John Krete (Mavroukakis) and Victoria Krete (Chartrand) and the precious wife of Donald Clements for 73 years. She is deeply mourned by her children Michele Clements Schreiber (Alan), Marlene Clements Marcelloni (Louie), Marcel Clements Snyder (John), and Mitchell Clements (Corie). She is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Nancy Clements and by her son Mark Clements. She was the beloved grandmother of Danielle Young (Donny), Mitchell Clements Jr. (Jenna), Michael Clements (Hailey), Krystal Snyder, Jason Marcelloni (Tina), Jacob Marcelloni (Suzana), Nathan Schreiber (Kaileen), and Marc Schreiber (Rebecca). Shirley loved spending time with her family, including her many great grandchildren and her great-great grandson. She is predeceased by eleven siblings.
Shirley was a fierce protector of those she loved — not only her family and friends, but also the animals she welcomed into her life. Her deep bond with Benji was a testament to her kind and gentle nature. We find comfort in believing she is now reunited with her cherished companions Kami and Claudia who brought her so much joy and comfort over the years.
Shirley was retired from Assumption College where she worked for the Basilian Fathers for many years. Before she retired, Shirley was an active volunteer with several different organizations including Meals On Wheels and the Refugee Support Centre. She was a lay associate with the Sisters of the Holy Name of Jesus & Mary (SNJM).
Shirley will be laid to rest at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. A mass will be held for her on Thursday October 9, at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lasalle. Donations can be made in her memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Canada https://www.parkinson.ca or Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus. Our thanks goes out to the doctors and nursing staff for their compassionate care.
