In Loving Memory

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sigrid, who has returned to the arms of the Lord, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the age of 85.

Devoted mother of Susan Marincak (John), Heide Hall (Claude Giroux), Barbara Moore (Bruce) and Robert. Cherished grandmother of Joe, Shari, Candice, Sean, Chantele, Jeffrey, Hannah, and Nora, and great-grandmother of Payden, Joey Jr., Addison, Jasun, Jeseaka, and Logan. Beloved sister of Fred (Renata), the late Hans Freitag, and the late Crystal. Sigrid’s memory will always be cherished by her extended family and friends.

Sigrid loved the outdoors and would often spend her time kayaking, hiking, cycling and being in the forests and mountains in both Germany and Kelowna, British Columbia. She loved to travel all over Europe and Canada. She loved all animals but had a special fondness for dogs.

At Sigrid’s request, no formal service will be held. Memorial donations to the Ottawa Humane Society are appreciated.
