In Loving Memory of Sylvia Elaine McCormick

Sylvia Elaine McCormick, a cherished daughter, devoted mother, beloved grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of those who meant the most to her.

A woman who brought light wherever she went, Syl’s unmistakable and contagious laugh could fill a room – her joy was impossible not to notice. She had a gift for making people feel seen and loved, making ordinary moments feel special, and leaving a little sparkle wherever she went.

She loved all things rhinestones, glitter and gold – anything that caught the light had a special place in her heart. She was known for having (and lending) the perfect pair of shoes for every occasion. Whether dressed up or simply enjoying time with the people she loved, she carried herself with a sparkle that was uniquely her own.

Her greatest treasures, however, were not the things that glittered – they were her family. The love she gave them will be passed down for generations to come.

Sylvia joins heaven alongside the love of her life, Perry McCormick; her mother and father, Mary and Steve Casper; her Daughter-In-Law Roseann Sattler; and her Brother-in-Law Joe Raffoul.

With a heavy heart, she leaves behind: her children, Cindy (Greg) Pusz and Steve McCormick (Ashley); grandchildren Marie Pusz (Marco), Jeff (Lori) McCormick and Katie (Tom) Feldt; great-grandchildren Gracie Malizia, Zoey Feldt, Holly Feldt, Daphne Feldt and Brock Feldt; and her siblings Fr. Jim Casper, Gary (Richard) Casper, Nancy Raffoul, Patty (Joe) Morracci and Stephanie Casper.

Though Syl is no longer physically with us, the shine she brought into the world does not have to fade. In her honor, may we laugh a little louder, love more freely, wear the shoes we’ve been saving for a special occasion, and never be afraid to add a little joy, or a rhinestone, wherever we go. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice - Leamington. 

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. ❤️
