It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Terence John Brearton on April 21, 2026, at the age of 70.
Terence was the loving and devoted husband of Sandra George for 48 years. He was the cherished son of the late Murial and Anthony Brearton, and a beloved brother to Catherine Anne Brearton and Matthew Paul Brearton (Valentina).
Terence was a proud uncle to Amelia (Brandon) and Cassandra (David), and a loving great-uncle to Jacob, Layla, and Carter. He will also be fondly remembered by his close friends Bobby, Joe, and John.
A dedicated community member, Terence served on the Board of Directors for the Border City Co‑op for more than 30 years. He had a deep love of history and politics and was rarely without a book, always eager to learn and stay informed.
A Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer of 2026, with details to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terence’s memory to Windsor Essex Hospice.
