Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
He passed away peacefully at the age of 69, surrounded by loved ones.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Sonya Lavalley. He will be deeply missed by his long-time partner, Marilyn and her children Genevieve, Stephen, Amanda, and Joey, along with their children, as well as his son, Zach Lavalley, his daughter-in-law, Sally Lavalley, and his cherished grandchildren: Alexander, Damien, Jeremiah Savannah, and Casper. He was the beloved son of the late Glen Arney and Iona Ackert, and brother to Deborah Arney, Laurie Arney, Rick Arney and Edie Reichardt.
Thomas will be fondly remembered for his kindness, his love of music, he enjoyed playing the bass and guitar. He shared a special bond with his beloved cat, Wild Thing, who brought him great comfort. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Ottawa Hospital for their care, compassion, and dedication over the past decade.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation, 613-692-5353.
