Wayne Carter
Obituary Overview
Wayne Carter
Peacefully at 71 years while in the care of Erie Shores Hospice, Leamington, Ontario, on September 14, 2026, so he could share a beer with his father, Norman (2021) on Norman’s birthday.
Son of Elaine (Boismier). Brother to Robert; Doreen Feltz (Benny); Glen (Sherry); and pre-deceased in 2026 by sister, Deborah (Bob Zimmer). Uncle to Aimee; Sarah; Nick; Andrew; Brandon; Dustan; Nichole; Allyshia; and Reiley.
Loyal companion to his spry sidekick, Mooch-the-Pooch, with whom, albeit briefly, Wayne shared an unbeatable and healing comradery.
Known to commit only after he had negotiated the best deal, Wayne exemplified the true meaning of living life on one’s own terms, an achievement that continues to inspire those with whom he chose to share his experience and wisdom. Whether by Hog (often beside Brother-Bob), car or boat, Wayne cruised any ride that made a good time out of getting where he wanted to go, and only once he had arrived would the good times begin for the many friends who loved and were honoured to have the privilege of partying with him. Countless good times were enjoyed with best bud, Steve Barrwise.
Ride on, Wayne. An eternity of good times awaits.
With immeasurable gratitude to neighbours Pat and Junior Churchill, and Murray and Pat Ellerbeck, who were with Wayne right up until it was his time, and sincerest appreciation to Erie Shores Hospice and Simple Choice Cremation Centre.
As requested by Wayne, a service will not be held. Donations in Wayne’s honour can be directed to Erie Shores Hospice.
