It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wendy Ashley on April 11th, 2026 at 11:11pm. Wendy was a woman whose strength, determination, and boundless love touched the lives of all who knew her.
Wendy was a devoted mother to her beloved daughter, Sarah Richardson, who was the center of her world. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Scott Ashley, Deborah Ashley, and Rob Ashley, as well as by her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Wendy was a woman of remarkable resilience. There was no obstacle that could stand in her way, and she faced life’s challenges with unwavering courage and determination. Her love for others was truly indescribable. Wendy was always there to support, comfort, and uplift those closest to her.
Over the past six months, Wendy faced a difficult battle with cancer, while emulating incredible courage and strength. Even in the face of such a profound challenge, her love for those around her never wavered, and her presence continued to bring comfort and warmth to family and friends. Wendy’s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to all those at the Verspeeten Family Cancer Clinic, other LHSC staff and her home care team.
Wendy’s legacy is one of love, strength, and perseverance. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
