Obituary Overview
Wilfred Leslie Alexander
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wilfred Leslie Alexander, born in Burlington, Ontario. Wilfred (lovingly known as both Wilf and Bill) passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London on August 19, 2025 at the age of 94.
Cherished husband of (Thelma) Rae Alexander with whom he shared over 65 wonderful years of marriage.
Treasured father of Sandy Alexander, Marlene Travers-Smith (Robin), Nancy Alexander (Ron), and Stuart Alexander.
Dear son of the late Ross and Fannie Alexander and dear son-in-law of the late Keith and Eileen Stuart. Dear brother of the late Margaret Lawson, the late Jean Raftis and the late Ross Alexander.
Lovingly remembered by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wilf was a dedicated husband and father who shared his love of water, boats and fishing with his family. They will be forever grateful for all of this.
Wilf was a skilled mechanic by trade, but spent the majority of his long, successful career in sales of forklift trucks and material handling equipment. He was a jack of all trades and master of them all. He could fix or build anything, and he willingly shared these skills with his family, neighbours and friends over the years. Wilf was a steady presence in the lives of those who knew him. He believed deeply in helping those around him.
Wilf was an extremely hard worker and always so punctual. One of his long-held beliefs was “If you are not 10 minutes early, you are late”, and his children respect this and other values he instilled in them.
Wilf's warmth, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
As per Wilf’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London, Ontario.
