Obituary Overview

William Peter Robert Patrick

William Peter Robert Patrick
March 5, 1940 – March 30, 2026

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of William “Bill” Patrick, a remarkable man whose life was defined by devotion to his family, passion for his pursuits, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew him.
Bill was the beloved son of the late Burle and Wilda Patrick, and the devoted husband and best friend of 40 years to Patricia Patrick (née Kovack). Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering partnership.

He was a proud and caring father to Jill Simon (Ken), Susan Patrick (Craig), and William Patrick (Jennifer), and a deeply respected and loving stepfather to the late Stewart Watton (Christine) and Gordon Watton (Tricia). Bill’s steady presence, guidance, and gentle humour were gifts he gave freely to his children and stepchildren alike.

Nothing brought Bill more joy than his role as Grandpa. He will be forever cherished by Katie Watton, Kristyn Watton, Late Lucas Watton, Emily Watton (James),  Late Adam James Patrick, Jade Patrick, Alex Patrick, Katherine Simon, and Teagan Watton. His eyes would light up in their presence, and his pride in each of them was boundless. He was also blessed to be a great-grandfather to Camryn Petruzzi, a role he embraced with tenderness and delight.

Bill was predeceased by his brother Ronald Patrick (Anne Marie) and will be lovingly remembered by his sister Karen Brown (late James), as well as his many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
A man of many talents and passions, Bill dedicated his professional life to education as both a teacher and a principal. He was respected for his fairness, patience, and ability to inspire those around him. Outside the classroom, Bill lived life with energy and enthusiasm. He found exhilaration on the racetrack as a race car driver with friends at Waterford Hills Road Racing, where camaraderie and competition brought him great joy. In quieter moments, he could be found in his workshop, where his skill as a woodworker shone through in every carefully crafted piece—each one a reflection of his precision, patience, and pride in a job well done.
Bill was a man who valued hard work, loyalty, and kindness. He had a gentle spirit, a quick wit, and a way of making those around him feel steady, supported, and loved. Whether sharing stories, offering advice, or simply being present, he made a lasting impact on the lives he touched.
Above all else, Bill will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, a proud father, an extraordinary grandfather and great-grandfather, and a true friend. His legacy is one of love, craftsmanship, dedication, and quiet grace.
He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
