Born in Holland and was one of 8 children. He was predeceased by his mother and father, brothers Henry, Rudolf, Gerrit, Cornelis and sister Rita. And survived by his sister Nellie.

Willy was a young child during occupied Holland and later as a teen, moved with his family to Ontario. He met Nancy (deceased) and after 6 weeks of dating, they married at city hall. Willy was a proud father to his children: Lorna, Janet, Stuart, William and predeceased by his daughter Shelley. He loved his grandchildren deeply: Lorna, Terry, Kyle, Colin, Tyler, Jessica, Travis, Emily and Chad. He adored his 16 great grandchildren, always smiling when seeing them.

A skilled mechanic, he built a business he was proud of. Willy loved life and lived it well. By all who knew him, he will be remembered for his kindness. From recreational snowmobile racing to fishing on lake or ice, he was an active man.

He will be missed by his family and his amazing friends at Good News Church. A memorial will be held later to celebrate him.

Rest in peace Dad/Pa/Grandpa and say "Hi" to Mom, Shelley and Oma for us.
